Author Topic: How do I host a dedicated server  (Read 18411 times)

How do I? i searched but found nothing of intrest

Go to start, then go to my My computer. Then go to Local Disk (C:). Then go to Program files and to the blockland folder. You'll see a icon that has gears on and it says dedicated under it. Click it then click on the blockland game and open a server and thats it.

but when I click on Dedicated.batch, it starts to open blockland, says it needs to close, and closes. Help?

You have to click the dedicated icon then click the blockland icon. Dont click dedicatedLAN.

Ohhhhh ok thank you.

Hmph no edit button :(.

Do you have to double click it or just click it and how do i know it's dedicated when i started it?

Dude. Are you 4 years old?!?! You double click it just like every other fuxing icon. Its the same thing as a regular Icon, Just this one makes a screen stay up for a while.

i clicked dedicated.batch (not dedicatedlan, i checked), It brings up one of those black windows, trys to do somthing, then it says it wont load. do i click the exe after that? I tried that, but did not test to see if my server was dedicated.

Dedicated servers are servers that run without the interface (so you cant actually see whats happening). The moment you click dedicated.bat, and it finishes loading, you are hosting a dedicated server and people will be able to join (if you have done your port forwarding). You do not have to open Blockland.exe to make your dedicated server work.

If your dedicated server crashes when you open it, close all Blockland things you have open, try running it again, and if it crashes again, post your console.log file here.

Shud upp.

And Ephilates. Dint work :(

BTW my console log may be messed upp.

Ok, a number of questions here. First, why are you loading the tutorial?

Second, are you sure the dedicated server was the last thing you tried to use before posting your console.log file?

Third, what is gaara sama and why is it trying to replace the MissionInfo?

Code: [Select]
Error: cannot change namespace parent linkage for MissionInfo from ScriptObject to gaara sama.
You've got a lot of fishy things going on there, not to mention a lot of crappy mods installed like the decollisioner. If you're really eager to get a dedicated server going, the best solution I can suggest is to reinstall Blockland and ONLY download add-ons that work well, like JVS Doors for example.

First Gaara sama is my ign. Second load tutorial? And yes i am sure!

For me, i can't reloadblockland. Most of the mods i have now have broken links and locked topics.

I think i have the same problem as coldwizard. I guess i might reinstall blockland, but does it keep my saves when i do reinstall it?
