EDM sub-genres don't count because they're basically equivalent to tumblr genders. There's an infinite amount of them and none of them mean anything.

Death Grips are amazing, not obscure though ;)  but Zach Hill has a bunch of side projects which are unfortunately underappreciated, they might count as almost-obscure. "Nervous Cop" is a project he did with Joanna Newsom (!!) and sum dude from Deerhoof. "Aggressively Humble" is a noisey pop/rock album he did with another guy named Zach, it's also the first time he worked with Andy I think. definitely check em out if you aren't already familiar.
