Author Topic: headset problem  (Read 768 times)

this started about 2 months ago. it seems every month my headset will drop out for about 5 seconds and around the 4th second a very loud sound will play

the first time it was just really loud white noise
the second time sounded like a real scream
the third time (which happened around an hour ago) sounded like a fire cracker going off

my headset is a logitech g430 7.1 and ive had it for about a year now

any ideas on why this is happening? i cant find anyone else online having the same problem

It could possibly be a wire inside the headset is either damaged or broken, because 99% of the time I've had stuff like that happen, it's internal wiring frayed and and protruding out

If you're using your headset while it's plugged into the included USB card, stop using the card and plug the headset straight into the headphone and microphone jack. The USB sound card could be going bad

i have the g430 aswell and when this happens or i know its gonna happen, i just unplug and plug the usb for the g430 back in. it normally fixes it, if that doesnt work try what reddboi said.
