what is this "drivers not working" bullstuff

I literally loving update my OS (with driver updates inside) to the most recent version and my nvidia drivers to the most recent version and I still keep getting this loving message every time I restart

I KEEP TRYING TO PLAY loving GAMES AND IT KEEPS FREEZING EVERY FIVE SECONDS WHEN LITERALLY A FEW HOURS AGO EVERYTHING WAS FINE

no, I literally went to class, came back and my screen was bugging out for about ten seconds before that message appeared
