The 15-year-old boy who was hit in the head with a bullet and initially was in critical condition.
And so the Courier, who had cheated death in the cemetery outside Goodsprings, cheated death once again, and the Mojave Wasteland was forever changed.

I have a hunch (no evidence) that girl's daddy is a career criminal and she brought the gun to school as some kind of cry-for-help. Guess the kids getting shot was just an unintentional side effect.

Note that the gun was unregistered, and the authorities have no clue where she got it from.

12 year olds aren't that handicapped
you have rather high hopes for children's intelligence, considering you are really cynical about adults/countries/states/governments

i have rather high hopes that somebody whos in like 7th grade knows what a loving gun is?

eh not everyone of a certain age are equally smart with things like guns
u know all those safety tips with guns instructors teach u? maybe it could be she's never tried to handle one before and didn't think twice and realize the serious danger it can have, and she certainly didn't think it would just go off like that

again tho, not saying that this is definitely the case

Why was there a bullet in the chamber and why was the safety off?

the danger of guns in kids hands is not that they dunno what a gun is, but they dunno how to check if its loaded (many just assume its unloaded if there is no magazine) and basic gun safety and use (dont point it at anyone you dont intend to actually hurt, is safety catch open/closed, how to unload gun, etc)

a lot of adults without firearm training also have similar problems/cause similar accidents (though usually less deadly cause they have a bit more common sense) when handling guns, so idk why you'd assume a 12-year-old would be better at it. just cause you know its dangerous doesnt mean you know how to safely handle it.

Is he trying to say by stepping across the boarder of a country you automatically start speaking the country's default language? Or that in North America you can't speak "Spanish" you can only speak "Mexican"?
