I mean the two periods in star wars that have the most lore are the old republic wars and the clone wars. Clone wars was completely milked by the show, but I'm sure there's still a couple thousand years of lore in between the two

It's not necessary, it never has been and it never will be.

Again, some of the extended universe stuff is cool. But most of the movies are bad or meh, and making another has high odds of being nothing but a merchandise ploy.

Look, I have nothing against Sci-fi & Fantasy. Star Wars is a cool concept, I've played the games and watched the movies, had my fair share of enjoyment. But as far as the movies go, it's gone beyond its intended purposes. Anything that comes after the 3rd (6th, if you include the prequels) movie is nothing but derivative.

Anything that comes after the 3rd (6th, if you include the prequels) movie is nothing but derivative.

the sequel series would be so much better if they merged finn and rey into one character and then turned it into a tv series instead of a movie trilogy

I've always kinda thought this like I would love some old republic era movies IF they somehow didn't ruin anything but it's probably better it never happens because they would ruin it if there was any way

tbh the sequel films feel more like fan films rather than legit star wars movies
