The Eggstar

Quite a few of you have seen me tooling away at this on a public server and honestly I've gotten a little bored so I thought I'd post up some pictures and.....<drumroll> post the save file. (More later on building with the Eggstar)


First off credits, sad stories etc...

Originally I wanted to build a space station, then I thought I'd build the Deathstar and then I completely lost my mind and decided I'd actually build the outside of it. This was, frankly, a huge mistake. Since however I'm a complete idiot I went ahead and did it (thanks to Edgar for the mspaint grid tip, Jookia/Resonance Cascade for the Brick generator and HFA for the save mover, without any of these the sphere egg wouldn't have been possible.
Then I decided to build the inside. During the course of this I discovered that Fart and King Tinks had built a much better one already, not discouraged I stole their decals and continued with my crappy build. Ok so I borrowed them, but thanks to those guys anyway as they are rather kick ass.
Even earlier into the inside build I remembered that lego bricks aren't squares and I had infact built an Egg and not a sphere (22k bricks..haha...kill me now....seriously)...Well screw it I said and the DeathEgg/Eggstar was born.

Here are some pics of the nicer parts...some of the rooms are crap, some of them are nice, my building got better as it went along. Frankly now though there is still a ice creamload of empty rooms and I can't be bothered anymore. So enjoy!

Though seriously the best way to expierence it is probably just to load up the save file:

However you will need several custom bricks for it to fill in, you can grab from the addons forum (hit the ~ key when you load and it will tell you which ones your missing, generate em and reload the server and save)

If you want to build on the DeathEgg here is the first rule:

1. DON'T USE A HAMMER.

Instead you'll need the multitool (in Addons) in brick erasor mode. In fact I dont build any other way now. (Big credit to the Multitool creator (whos name escapes me) it is the best addon bar none).

What? I rate this as a StarWars fan and how this thing has alot of stuff from the movies.

I think the FartStar (:D) looks nicer. They've really got the bays down, However, several rooms are clearly better on this version, like the throne room thinggy.

Nice job with Darth Vader's chamber.  Haha @ the egg thing though.  A 1x1 has been the same size since vanilla, so the lack of spherical-ness has t3h funneh.

also no exterior. Which=no lag, no limitations, and no epic exterior battles.

I personally don't like the exterior, however, the interiors amaze me. Maybe it's just the decals, though.

Nice build!  Glad to see you got lots more done than we did so far.  I wonder who King Tice is lol.
