if your criticisms of a game are "it has a bad community" and nothing else you're a moron

forget

i don't really like it but i see the appeal
how it came to be is kind of dissapointing; guys who actually physically made the unreal engine made a pretty cool idea for a game but it didn't sell so they cashed in on the BR trend and it soared through the ozone

I hate the Battle Royale genre in general.

However, when it comes down to it I'm gonna throw my money in with Fortnite (its a joke get it, because the game is free). Mainly because it seems that whenever Fortnite is mentioned the PUBG brothers start losing their stuff and turn into animals. And the devs of Fortnite are constantly updating the game so it never really gets "too old" if you know what I mean.

On top of that PUBG is dead as hell on the development side as far as I can tell. Sure there are still people playing it but you can tell the devs completely said "forget it" and gave up on updates. I mean forget, it is actually an official game now. It is past 1.0 on PC and is no longer in EA. That literally shows the dev doesn't give a single stuff about his game with how many game breaking bugs are still present.

I know it seems like I care, but Fortnite is winning and for obvious reasons. More and more PUBG players are switching over as well. Like I said, I have played both and hate them near equally.

fortnite has more potential for longetivity due to the base building mechanic being applicable to non-battle royale modes, and because of content updates. it probably will die off in popularity like overwatch, but it wont totally go kaput as people start to get bored. i predict a shift towards developing more games using the same base combat/building system, maybe something campaign-like like l4d2 (unlikely) or 2-team combat on fixed maps like tf2 and csgo (more likely)

haha what. are you citing the game updating as evidence that game doesnt get updates
