just came across this, you'll have to watch it twice in order to understand everything but it is definitely interesting

does your artstyle not have to be original and different from mii characters anymore for your cartoon to be pleasing to the eyes

adding onto this, me, a not-very-avid cartoon watcher, can't bother but be distracted by the motion blur, constant bloom and sunrays, smoke and screaming
it just sounds and looks a bit like evangelion

what do you mean

why is a black ops style bloom-filled lookaround at a loving floating brick with a mask and two mantis legs supposed to be sad or even supposed to touch me in any way with this artstyle nintendo mii artstyle

they're floating animal skulls you handicap

they're floating animal skulls you handicap

(makes 3d over deer head and give it mask and add loving screaming and basic smoke effects) wow im a good animator
this reminds me strangely of RWBY because of the "we're trying to be 2d but we're too lazy to make our simple ass artstyle 2d so we use 3d models" artstyle

this is nowhere near comparable to rwby

this is nowhere near comparable to rwby
from the "Make-your-first-blender-animation" smoke effects, to the overuse of bloom and obnoxious background noises during fights, fake 2d animation and cookie-cutter models that look like they came from an online template (a Mii in this case), pretty damn comparable

let's not forget the "Let's try to be edgy!" twist where a loving BLENDER ANIMAL HEAD WITH A MASK with 120 special defense and the ability levitate is screaming and yelling because MUH FEELINGS as the fake anime plays in where the mii's eyes fake-sparkle because Damn. That's Sad

idk i thought it was alright

from the "Make-your-first-blender-animation" smoke effects,

just checked and these smoke effects are about fifty times better than what you see in RWBY

to the overuse of bloom and obnoxious background noises during fights,

yeah it's not like it's a loving fight with a giant creature
I mean the sound mixing wasn't stellar but do you actually think that there wouldn't be guns and stuff just going off in the background or that the creature would be quiet when it's being shot by fifty cannons

fake 2d animation and cookie-cutter models that look like they came from an online template (a Mii in this case), pretty damn comparable

RWBY doesn't have "fake 2d animation", it's strictly 3d
and how the forget do you know the models are cookie cutter if you only see one during the entire short

let's not forget the "Let's try to be edgy!" twist where a loving BLENDER ANIMAL HEAD WITH A MASK with 120 special defense and the ability levitate is screaming and yelling

clearly you've never heard of eldritch horror

because MUH FEELINGS as the fake anime plays in where the mii's eyes fake-sparkle because Damn. That's Sad

she wasn't sad to have killed it, she was relieved because the thing had a giant loving laser and was blowing up ships like they were nothing
not to mention she was in the hospital for three months prior to the fight (which is evidence that you didn't watch it a second time even though I said you wouldn't get all of it on the first watchthrough)

why are the machine guns not a part of the plane model wtf

why are the machine guns not a part of the plane model wtf

I mean this is just the pilot so the design might change a little bit if it gets greenlit
