IP addresses cannot be used to 'trace' you with any greater accuracy than your general neighborhood or college campus. It is possible for an ISP to tell which of their clients was assigned a specific IP address at a certain time, but they don't divulge that information unless forced by police warrant.
The only IP he's gonna get is his external. There's NO way that will show his location though.
Technically the only IP that carries any information about your location is your external IP. Internal IPs are for identifying machines connected to routers or local area networks. You could move your entire network to a different country and the numbers would be the same.
