Author Topic: youtube/google removes features specifically for adsense profits.  (Read 1905 times)

Remember in youtube when you just want to reply to comments and you click the button, it displays the comments and you can reply to each comment within that tab?

This was removed in favor of a more counterinitutve method by loving forcing you onto the page where the comment is and then autoplaying the video. So this increases views and adsense revenue.

Google is doing the same stuff but with the view image button.

"a company is earning money and im mad!! aaaaagh! how dare a free service have a source of income in order to keep itself free to all"

well actually that was because of a lawsuit but lol ok tony

Yes and no.

Yes it was indirectly caused by the "lawsuit"

Google didn't want to take it to actual court, nor did they decide to remove the feature just for specific websites.

Then they found out they'll actually make more money by forcing you to view the page instead.

Win/win

and? is there a problem with them making more money?

So you people are fine with them making it more difficult for people to interact with their website just so they can get 4 cents per click out of ya?

You know those websites with clickbait titles that are like "10 things you thought you didn't know" and they are spread out on 10 different pages. lol It's basically that.

so you'd rather they sacrifice thousands of dollars just to pander to your inability to spend 1.5 seconds to click on a separate page? and here i was thinking only SJWs could be so insane

Man tony, your bait game is off as of late. Looks like you need to step it up old man.

One of the co-founders of google has a networth of over 50 billion lol.

Also it's bad business practice to hinder your own traffic just so you don't sacrifice a few measly thousands of dollars. Especially when you're worth billions.

Is the big bad google really going to be hurt if they sacrifice those few thousands? lol
