Crazy Diamug

I'm going to print a higher-poly version of that now that I know how to subsurf with sharp edges

how expensive is it for the materials past the actual printer itself? been looking into 3d printing eventually

where I live it's ~25 SGD (20 USD) per kilo on the cheap side, it's really not that expensive when you consider that most models are quite light

the problem comes if you want more than one color of filament...

whats the problem

whats the problem
you have to buy a new roll for each color regardless of how much you want to use

i mean there's probably places that sell smaller amounts for cheaper but the smallest i've seen is 500g

of course I can't speak from experience seeing as I just got my 3d printer and am using the bundled filament, I've never bought new filament in my life

so any and all of what I'm saying could be wrong
