The circle intersections were an early design to the + intersections in the final game. In the beta builds that were released, there's an early version of Building 6 this can be seen as the intersections in the save picture are round, but upon loading the build, it's just the regular + roads.

I mean the roundabout roads look kind of neat, but the thing with the default roads is that I feel they're too small so I would just end up making a custom road.

blockland is still pretty much in its beta state after all these years though
