Netflix is a whore and I want to be able to play my games while people are watching it. How do I do? I read something about going into my router's QoS and then doing stuff there but I'm lost after that.

Depends on your online settings. My router allows me to prioritize my machine over others and even allows separate prioritization for tablets and phones. Or you could be a total richard and set a metered connection for everyone but you and watch as they suffer when they hit the limit.

Get access to your router through your web browser.
Set your computer's IP to static, and hopefully there will be a simplified network priority checkbox option.
