because no other platform is as good as doing what youtube does. youtube is the top platform for a reason and most people don't have a problem with it

Yeah and the reason is because there is NO ALTERNATIVE.
Even the great ones are killed because of the manipulative google search system.

it would have to take youtube doing something seriously wrong to forget over a large majority of people who've been satistified with it thus far

you could make the argument that youtube videos are put on higher priority than other hosting websites, but my personal theory is that there are an incomprehensibly larger number of videos on youtube than anywhere else and as such youtube simply takes up more space. they could theoretically mix it in, but in what way would anyone benefit from that when the service you want (funny meme videos) is still easily accessible in a format that isn't complete garbage. it would just be more work for google that benefits them and their users in no way

it proves that videos are hosted on other websites as well, but that people choose to go to youtube over said sites since youtube's system/platform is more accessible.
