They do, and windows xp still looks worse.
My apologies, I'm not used to dealing with so much incorrectness in one post.

XP is best windows.

8.1 all the way

As someone who has used Windows XP, even after support ended, I can safely say that Windows XP looks like unwiped ass.

Incorrect.

Dude, go to any Japanese website and you'll see what your supposedly halcyon days of web design looked like.

https://www.yahoo.co.jp/

The early 2000s were a god awful time of round edges and GRADIENTS everywhere. Truly dark times. I'll take the modern flat UI design over it anyday.

Same.

I personally really like flat design tbh. XP still looks lovey tho, at least to me.

Huh?

Although this page is still very minimalist/flat, it's better than windows 10-style designs.

And what the forget is wrong with round edges?

Sorry, those were two separate comments. I wasn't saying the Japanese website had round edges and gradients.

WHY ARE PEOPLE SAYING FORGETS?????

Ontopic: XP is patrician taste

Flat colors suck.

ugh...
Windows 7 and windows XP look miles better than Windows 8 or Windows 10.
ironically there's more flat coloring in the XP pic than the 10 pic, probably not the best way to compare them lol

the OP of this thread is literally incomprehensible. however I agree on the general concept that websites as of late have really taken some aspects of modern web design a bit too far. single page apps will be the end of me
