Author Topic: Why most animated movies have a dance party ending?  (Read 1852 times)

You've probably noticed that most animated movies, when it gets to the end, almost every character in the movie shows up in a dance part, not saying that all of them are like this, but pretty sure 80% or more are and it feels forced in most of the time, and I can't quite understand why is that a thing.

I blame Dora for making us stretch and becoming active at the end of each episode as a cheap ploy to say they're not sucking the life force out of each child by slapping colors on the screen for money and power.

because most small children don't care as long as they're being shown the funny haha 3d people

to emphasize happy ending for kids. generally the more playful movies that dont deal with any serious themes at all do this - fortunately most films at least tangentially bring them up

can you give some examples

can you give some examples
despicable me
gnomeo and juliet
shrek and shrek 2
a lot of loving disney movies
robots
to name a few

to tell kids that in the end it'll all be fine no matter what. which is kinda a stuffty message for kids to remember once they get older, but the idea is preserving their youth and childhood

It might be, but it's getting way overdone and the ending on these movies are getting predictable, even ones that have a proper story that don't need a party at the end.
