It's not about the legality of free speech, it's about the ideals of it.
The only people that defend themselves behind "free speech" are stuffty people saying stuffty things.
"What do you mean I cant yell racial slurs at people in public? That's my free speech bruh!"
To me, free speech and political correctness are two ends of extreme spectrum. We should be somewhere in the middle, not on one end.
This is the type of logic that is being used to justify removing people's right to speak. Its not about someone "hiding behind free speech" it's about countries, especially like the UK, putting peoples and beliefs above scrutiny and punishing those who speak out.
Sorry you think anyone who talks about being pro-freespeech is a tribal national socialist bigot, I hate to think that the sjw stereotype is anymore than propaganda, but you are making it hard to disprove this.
if you aren't one of the people he described you have literally no reason to get defensive
It's a loaded accusation.
Yes, we are the people who are pro freespeech, no we are not tribal national socialist bigots.
This is an attempt to shut down arguments through shaming and a fear of being labeled a tribal.
I'm pro free speech and that doesn't make me, or anyone else who does, a tribal national socialist bigot.
