the format of this forum encourages discussions to be split between threads and having megathreads squashes discussion and is the opposite of how a forum works

That's why I find it ridiculous when people suggest I should only post in a loving megathread.

it's too big for discussion and if I try to have discussion it will just get drown out and hidden under hundreds of other pages
