why is the forum clock so wrong

Author Topic: why is the forum clock so wrong  (Read 1001 times)

it's literally 20 minutes behind all the other clocks I have and they're all connected to the internet

/discuss

i subtracted 0.16 from the time offset and now its close enough
post says 6:30:39, but i posted it at ~6:31:41

why isn't it exact tho

you'd think a website connected to the internet with other websites with accurate clocks would have an accurate clock

Didn't it used to be accurate though? What happened around the time that people started noticing that it was slightly off?

well u see all clocks over time slowly get less and less accurate and i guess the same happened here

quite literally borrowed time

and why does everyone say borrowed time like wtf

"SM pulls in $10k per year and BLF barely breaks even on ads.  It's only here because of its tangential benefit to Blockland sales - and we all know how that's going.  I'm not even convinced it's a benefit at all.  You're on borrowed time."

Well you see time is changing but the forums still have the real time

I set the forum clock to military time because I'm more used to it

I set the Ike to The more Generic time because I borrowed it

the collective stuffposting has literally slowed down time

I set the forum clock to military time because I'm more used to it
Is it still off by a few seconds?

in your 'look and layout' settings, change 'time offset' to be '#.178', adjusting # to fit into your timezone. because i'm in the UK, I use '6.178'.
I actually PMed badspot to fix the time offset adjustment to allow for decimal numbers, but he never actually did anything about the offset time
