Brett Kavanaugh confirmed for Supreme Court | Was Kavanaugh Guilty?

If you are unsure of who Brett Kavanaugh is or what he could be guilty of, I implore you to do your own research. I believe if I post my own sources, I may push my own bias. Otherwise this is a poll and discussion thread, and may change topics in the future.

guilty of lying under oath? sure
should he be thrown into jail for his actions at a young age? probably not. his problem was that he denied it ever happening

he's guilty of lying under oath no matter what. however he still needs to hold accountability for his actions

I wasn't aware that he lied under oath. Give me a quick rundown

You know what's funny.

If it turns out the woman is lying. Will those #believewoman protestors still believe her?

can someone give me an eli5? like i get donald is trying to make him supreme court justice and he did an illegal but i dont really get much more than that

he did an illegal

Um I thought he's loving innocent till proven guilty.

he's innocent until proven guilty. since he hasn't been declared guilty yet he's basically innocent. so the objectively correct vote is 'no'

Um I thought he's loving innocent till proven guilty.

Only in the court of law, until then any accusations will stand until disproven.

you can't be guilty outside the court of law lol. you're just an alleged _____

You can't be proven 100% innocent, you're just assumed to be innocent in the court of law until you're proven guilty. Outside the court, you are whatever the the forget the public believes you are unless shown elsewise. That's why suing for libel / slander is a thing, to get on top of anything that would affect public opinion before it damages your reputation or brand.

Let's say Kavanaugh was completely innocent, there's no reason for him not to want there to be a curated investigation into the matters. This way, there can't be any theoretical "Witch hunt", and his reputation doesn't get slain.

This is fantastic.

You can ruin a man's career with a vague made up story from the 1980s.

Guilty until proven innocent.

Also isn't there loving statue of limitations on this crime.

She wasn't even raped, she waited like 30 years to report she was laughed at and assaulted?

Come on.

I hope he's innocent because this is going to expose the how much of a problem we have in the legal system where someone is guilty until proven innocent because someone took 30 years to report a made up crime.
