Author Topic: Does the forums collect watches?  (Read 1409 times)

Recently ive gotten fascinated with them. Mostly the mechanical/automatic ones. While quartz watches are undeniable, objectively better. An automatic movement is still so... Satisfying? The small parts moving in harmony just to keep your time just feels so much better than a quartz watch.

Personally I own a Bering classic black with a 3rd party italian leather strap because the original was genuine trash.
I also own a swatch Irony chrono. A parnis submarine which is just a submariner homage. It broke and cant be fixed so dont buy chinese ripoffs kids. And I recently got a Seiko 5 automatic as replacement.

It might be a bit of an expensive hobby, but I've always been interested in watchmaking. It takes a lot of patience but the attention to detail to a lot of different designer watches are very cool.

Me too. Too bad I have the shakes in my right hand.
Maybe I'll pick it up when I win the lottery and dont have to worry about money anymore.

No because my phone is a watch.

i need to wear watches more but i don't have one that works right now

i can't take my phone out at work to even look at the time and even though there's a big clock by the entrance i can't see it everywhere in the facility

i wear watches for the look

honestly it's pretty convenient since im too lazy to reach into my pocket for my phone

i have a 30 dollar timex watch

i collect phones with clocks

I collect your sense of time so you’ll always be checking the time on your watch and have no way of telling how much time has passed since you’ve taken a stuff

how much do u think a watch costs........

You can get a cheap, somewhat decent looking watch for like 50-100 euro.

I think my swatch with a swiss ETA movement was like 150 or something and boy that one has seen a lot of abuse.

The best cheap stuff you can get are probably seiko's.
Casios start at $10 or something but I don't have much experience with that these. The pope wears a $10 Casio tho.

keep meaning to get into it, don't have a solid source of income yet though so i dont want to
