accidentally getting concussions occasionally vs deliberately giving yourself a concussion
hmmmmmmmmmm
soccer is better because their players dont feel the need to assert their masculinity every 5 seconds by saying "yea i play football lmao"
unsurprising that Drydress would post something as full of bullstuff as this
first off: nobody gives themeselves a concussion intentionally. Concussion's are loving
awful. In college and in HS where I'm from, leading with your head and spearing someone else in the head is an automatic ejection and a 15 yard penalty. You're taught to hit people hard, but shoulder to shoulder or on ball to knock it out, especially on defense.
This is how you're supposed to hit someoneSecond off: CTE is caused by repeated head trauma. Like, not just concussions. It's not a football-specific issue. Actually, it's pretty funny that Drydress is using "accidentally getting concussions occasionally vs deliberately giving yourself a concussion" in support of soccer
when the opposite is actually true in regards to both sports.
Third off: I know/have met 4 guys who are currently in the NFL and 6 more who will be drafted early in the next few years, one of whom is a close friend of mine. Only two of them actually made it a big deal that they played football, and they were complete douchebags anyway. Most of them don't/didn't want to be constantly bothered in public situations because they play a sport. Some people are cool, some arn't, it's not an issue specific to people that play sports.
