i mean on one hand you have the classic https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IZBf16B5vhs amarillo by morning by george strait or the industry gem https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KSTG4QCQOoU& Ansome - Kenneggy (Ayarcana Remix) [PLS.UK001]

dark synth > synth wave > vaporwave > nightcore > country

actual vaporwave art that isn't just those stuffty laser backgrounds and anime characters is good

blink182 and green day are pop punk, rage against the machine is rap metal, and minor threat, black flag, bad brains are hardcore punk

punk rock is stuff like the love pistols, the clash, x-ray spex, the damned, etc.
oh cool, thanks for clearing that up, i used to love pop punk but when i started listening to hardcore i just couldn't go back, i can put up with punk rock though, if joy division and gang of four count

I got unreasonably agitated when I heard someone call Avril Lavigne "Punk Rock"

old punk rock (from 70s-90s) is all good I guess, anything from the 2000s is literal hepatitis G. 2000s music is stuff in general. Vaporwave is really good, they're good but new punk rock isn't good. But this is my opinion

joy division and gang of four are more post-punk but yeah I'm with you; I much prefer hardcore punk or noise rock to just straight up punk
