not really, its good you have to pay. this community is so toxic that if it wasnt pay to post then half of the ban on sight people would be spamming the forums n stuff every second they get

Actually, if you got banned before the key registration you were IP banned as in you were barred from registration. No alts, no nothing. Except that's what happened.

too easy to change ip these days though, esp thru proxies or whatnot.

but like back in 2008 the vast majority of people were computer illiterate and wouldnt even know wtf an ip address is. also there were far fewer proxy services and it wasnt as easy to request a new ip address. nowadays you can just do it through your browser with minimal effort, picking from thousands of ips for free - ip banning is practically meaningless these days.

The game is only $9.99 and is usually $4.99 during sales. Nothing is stopping people from buying the game, seeing if they like it, and then refund it if they don't. Blockland is not popular enough for people to want to ask "hey, is this game worth it?". Even then, it's better and easier to go and watch someone's review on the game. Also, let's not forget that Blockland's forum community is hostile and malicious as forget. Requiring the game to be purchased to make an account on here acts as a gate to keep out stuffters and keeps most people in line because they know they'll have to spend another ten bucks on this game just to be able to post again.
