its funny because you're posting on the internet which requires satellites to exist and in order for satellites to exist the earth has to be round...
always wondered why tv dishes on the roofs point upwards and not horizontal... the earths flat right cant you just send waves parallel to the surface? smh
Satellites do not need to exist for there to be internet. Are you serious? What about cable? Have you not heard of a cell-phone tower? Do you not understand the concept of triangulation between these towers to preform what is commonly known as "GPS" ? Sure, DSL might use "satellites" aka a disk/dish shaped relay for their wireless connection, but are they in "space"? No, most of them are mounted to your roof and relay to a tower or other "satellite" somewhere high up nearby. Most of these "satellites" as you know them are just very high up in the air most likely attached to a weather balloon of the sorts if it isn't a self standing structure.
By the way, these "satellites" make up less than 1% of internet traffic, with the (rather large) majority of data being carried through underground and underwater cables.
The internet most certainly does not require "satellites" to exist
