Well, I havent heard anything about a cash shop on the beta forums.

Can you find out if BF:H will make you download SecuROM? If it dose that would be uber fail on so many levels. BF:H looks like it will be a very fun game but SecuROM is the crappyest stuff ever to be forced upon people by a company (I'm talking to you EA).

I hope not but the free spore creature creator trial had SecuROM on it (which really sucked seeing as I downloaded that demo and it took me a while to obliderate SecuROM but it may still be hiding seeing as it can do that very easily).
Can you at least try to ask?

Heres the gist of what they said

"No need, its a free game, people wont have to pirate it. However, we would like to test this new product"

Here is the gist of what they meant - "It isn't needed we know that you know that so we shouldn't right? Wrong, we will put it in so we can steal the important information of your computer with our malware and we will claim it is a test"

Ask them how that will be testing it seeing as it is to stop something that is impossible/pointless to do with the game they will be testing it with. As soon as I learnt about SecuROM and what it dose/can do I knew they would use it to make profit of BF:H (by steeling info off your computer or adding advertisement popups into you explorer). If any one got control over the SecuROM on your computer they could do ANY THING they wanted with it (SecuROM is a rootkit and if you don't know what that is go find out before load any more EA games).

Edit: Hey one last favour can you find me a way to talk to some BF:H staff member who would be able to answer some questions concerning SecuROM? If you can't I won't mind I have my ways.....

I just noticed something on the website:
"Battlefield Heroes™ is a brand new Play 4 Free game from the people that brought you the multi-million selling Battlefield 1942™ and Battlefield 2™"

Was Battlefield 2142 not made by EA and Dice or something?

The end line is... if its fun to play its fine, people who say "Its just like TF2 its a rip off" and never try it and it could be allot more fun or even better but they never do try because its a "TF2 ripoff".

However I'm disappointed that the next Battlefield was lead into a different direction (Experimentally), I loved Battlefield since 1942 and then moved on to the next ones until 2142 but now that Heroes is coming out its really a huge disappointment. Battlefield is serious and good but no we've got to change it into some thing else that younger/handicaps will play, cartoon look and all! If they made some thing like Battlefield WWI or any other war I would of bought it but this is really... Not Battlefield.

After watching the trailer it looks fun as they intended to be, some thing I'm looking forward to getting but they really shouldn't of used the name "Battlefield".

Thats why they made Bad company.
