isn't thomas the tank engine public domain?

Author Topic: isn't thomas the tank engine public domain?  (Read 5089 times)

One of my videos uses the original thomas the tank engine song unedited.

Now I was hit by a copyright strike by Thomastoget - Ess I Ermet

Which is a song that uses the original thomas the tank engine song but it has some guy rapping over it.

So how can some guy copyright strike me for a song he doesn't even own? Not only that mine is using the original song, it doesn't have his lame rapping over it.

I don't recall that being a public domain

Well regardless this loving guy is copyright striking me.

So I am using the original unedited thomas the tank engine theme song.

This guy is rapping over the thomas the tank engine theme song and he is copyright striking me for using the unedited theme.

This makes zero sense.

Someone got a copyright strike for the sound of crickets

Youtube's copyright strike system sucks, but the people that abuse it like this make it even worse

If the people who own thomas the tank engine copyright striked me, that would make 100% sense.

But this friend doesn't even own thomas the tank engine, he just rapped over it.

I technically can't dispute it because the thomas the tank engine theme song is not public domain and I don't own it.

But this friend doesn't own it either.

I'm using the original unedited version, not his stuffty rap.

probably bcause they knew u were tony lol

Any random person can flag content for phony copyright claims.
Ive heard of videos getting flagged for the use of cricket sounds from a person who claimed it infringed on something they made a week after the flagged video.

I recommend switching to bitchute

when did youtube become so corporate and political?

Nah that platform is stuff, all I see is handicapped political stuff on it
Use Vanillo, Dailymotion, or VidLii
Though you can't make money off of either so...

Nah that platform is stuff, all I see is handicapped political stuff on it

Sounds like a perfect platform for Tony, actually..

when did youtube become so corporate and political?
how is a broken copyright strike system political

when did youtube become so corporate and political?
when google bought them in like uhh 2006

While using someone's cover of a free domain song can be struck, the guy cannot strike if you use the original. I think this is youtube's bot messing up again.
