How to change the gain of all tracks in audacity?

Author Topic: How to change the gain of all tracks in audacity?  (Read 966 times)

So I work in audacity from time to time and I'm wondering how I can change the gain of all tracks that I have imported here, rather than doing them individually:

could you just do ctrl-a and try it then

could you just do ctrl-a and try it then
for some reason it doesn't work like that, I really don't understand why audacity has made this such a hard task

I can change the volume of multiple tracks just fine, are you using the 'Amplify' effect?

Also, try downloading the latest version, maybe your version doesn't support amplifying multiple tracks

I cant believe you had the audacity to talk about Audacity

i think audio compression can do that ?
or just use MP3GAIN

This solved the issue, if you ctrl a and then go to effects > amplify and then set the gain, it changes it for all the tracks. Thanks, locking
