no it isn't. it means you want gay people's lives to be harder or less happy than yours. or, you know, worse
I, personally, believe that they wouldn't be as antagonistic or homophobic if you desired to set a good example instead of being defensive about it.
"maybe if you were just civil, the family men wouldn't want you dead anymore" is what straight people say when gay people get tired of being civil after it doesn't help

"full of family men" does not mean that everyone here is homophobic. just that there are too many of them to tolerate. but I get the impression that you think it's less prevalent than it is. family values isn't just calling gay people slurs, it's also sitting idly by when someone else does
