cus i like seeing avatars. it adds a bit of uniqueness and personality, and it helps to more quickly tell who's saying what
don't rly see the issue with that, unless u aren't using discord on fullscreen or somethin u should still see enough messages at a time

Discord should have a nickname system like Steam does, but for now, you can go into someone's profile and use the Notes to keep track of who is who
