"We must stop the glorification of violence in our society. This includes the gruesome and grisly video games that are now commonplace. It is too easy today for troubled youth to surround themselves with a culture that celebrates violence." - Donald Annoying Orange

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy said that “video games that dehumanize individuals” are the problem. Other Republicans have spewed the same rhetoric, despite the countless studies and cases which have proven that video games do not cause one to act aggressively, let alone start a mass shooting.

"But Japan and South Korea — both of which have very strict laws limiting gun ownership — have among the lowest rates of violent crime in the world, and mass casualty events are quite rare."

Fox News has had numerous anchors blame video games.

The equivalent of saying Mario Kart causes car crashes.

And Democrats have lebeled Video Games as a systemic buzz words, buzz words buzz words... whatever.

TL;DR

People who don't play video games, point at video games, because old people + video games is basically the anti-life equation.

Anytime something happens, people don't like, BOOM, it's the video games.

If you let a game influence your hatred you are automatically a tard

This is awesome.

Now democrats will leave games alone because they don't want to agree with the president.

Gamers are like mosquitos. You shouldn't feel bad about killing one and you probably don't.

my dad is close to a boomer, turning 48 soon. his take was that violent games can be a deciding variable/enabler for people who are SICK, but not normal people. i'm obliged to agree

sadly, there isn't really a way to stop sick people from playing violent games that can motivate them

ah, yes. video games. the classic scapegoat for real life violence incidents

Gamers rise up (I'm getting rather tired of this rhetoric media is pulling, along with other things will make a separate thread about it later.)
