are any of you outraged people gonna stop buying their products cause of the latest news? cause tbh i cant see any one of us actually being so disgusted that we stop buying/playing their games. all the support of hk protestors from outside china ive seen so far only goes as far as "yeah i support what they are doing, but im not gonna do anything to support them besides saying i do and being angry at those who dont"
stop talking like you've actually seen the situation. I've heard of tons of people going so far as to delete their battle.net account that Blizzard made it so you need loving proof of ID to do so for whatever god damn reason

it's a communist nation what do you expect
China isn't even communist you idiot. They've degenerated into some weird capitalist country with an actual economy with corporations while the government controls trade

Okay there is no need for name calling

Although China may support democratic centralism, the chinese constitution says that "the defining feature of socialism with Chinese characteristics is the leadership of the Communist Party of China". Who makes the laws?

just because they are communist in their roots doesn't mean they can't have an economy with businesses

speak for yourself fam I've boycotted plenty of games for MTX bullstuff I have zero issues adding Diablo and Overwatch to my list of do-not-touch and any other release in the future can get forgeted too

i don't play or have any interest in purchasing any activision blizzard games

The government controlling the trade is the communist part of the economy, you idiot :laughingcryingemoji: :xD:

I think when even the artcigarettes in my class are boycotting Blizzard it's a sign that this is bigger then the average outrage of the week. I think this is more comparable to the Star Wars Battlefront 2 situation where all the negative press is going to make Blizzard fold.

stop talking like you've actually seen the situation.

Jesus christ even when I agree with you you come off as an insufferable friend. Learn to communicate like a normal human being and take your loving meds dude.

China isn't even communist you idiot.

Literally in the same post I quoted. You really are incapable of thinking aren't you?

i-
What the actual forget? How can you go from saying china isn’t socialist and not back it up so then you decide to ree at beachrim for being himself lmao

And while we're getting away from Blizzard-Activision, why not switch to Linux?

I recommend Manjaro, it's an Arch Linux based os with various options for your desktop appearance.

With Proton, windows games are increasingly becoming compatible with Linux. It's getting so big, Easy Anti Cheat and Battleye are working with Valve to get their anti cheats running on Proton.

tell me how china is still communist without saying its the party name because by that logic i could imply Korea is democratic because they're the democratic people's republic of korea

brother i’ve read enough theory to understand that while china is a revisionist marxist government, it’s still socialist in that they give free healthcare, free education, and various other social programs designed to be socialist. Just because it has a market doesn’t mean it’s not socialist as there are various forms of handicapation that has markets in it, two ideologies being dengism and market socialism.

Hey handicap: I wasn't arguing with your gay ass political views, I was arguing that you are a waste of skin.

But since we are on the topic of China being communist they still have a centrally planned economy similar to the USSR, companies that want to sell in China need to either be owned by the government or they need to license their products to a Chinese company (Like with Rockstar and Tencent).

Take for example Next Gen. A movie made specifically for the Chinese, based of a Chinese image board meme. Now the movie itself released to English speakers on netflix in 2018, but didn't get an official release in China (the target audience) until the next year due to their planned economy (yes, they even decide when movies come out).

The movie flopped horribly, although this delay also had to do with the parent company getting into hot water with the Chinese Government.

That doesn't exactly sound like Capitalism to me.
