??? But China still continues socialist/communist principles to this day? What are you even talking about
again, a government that says they are "socialist with chinese characteristics" but has privately owned businesses out the wazoo and a free-ish market isn't socialist at all

england has a social security system and single payer healthcare it's basically communist -_________- with (english) characteristicss

if that's the handicapped logic you want to roll with, there's literally no point arguing otherwise

sorry for describing things using their definitions properly idk what else you want me to say

china stop censoring american media

sorry for describing things using their definitions properly idk what else you want me to say

It's just very interesting that you describe their market as free(ISH) while saying there are zero socialist aspects to the regime

That level of contradictory bullstuff is not worth arguing against even for fun

who cares? its a different country. they can censor whatever the forget they want

What is with all you handicapped brothers that don't know what Mercantilism is?

Uh no, there are a few forms of socialism that involve markets. They’re revisionist ofc but still defined socialist for whatever reason. I saw your other post and no, i didn’t intend for my post to be meant as “lol big government=socialist” as that’s loving brain dead logic right there. Anyways the whole socialist process involves using state capitalism to force a country to have an industry in order to transition through socialism. This happened before with the NEP with the soviet union. Dismissing a socialist leaning country as “state capitalist” is quite small brained as I’ve read reports saying that China intends to fully go socialist by 2050 iirc. I barely look at socialist theory and literature enough to have a proper debate but that’s all i have.

atleast american media doesnt censor anything

oh wait

who cares? its a different country. they can censor whatever the forget they want

different country, same market = same censorship for everyone

bad take

atleast american media doesnt censor anything

oh wait

not being able to say forget or friend on TV =/= not being able to criticize the Chinese gov't

oh ok i understand what you mean but i'm just mostly saying what the general consensus is in the economics field.

their current form can be described as basically a state of hyper economic growth empowered by totalitarian state-owned industry, which is the definition of state capitalism. wether they plan to use this to transition more easily into a socialist society is irrelevant because I'm just describing their current state.

imo president xi be like:

they have been putting off the transition to socialism for so long idk if it will ever happen at this point
