Author Topic: Players underwater able to float through bricks?  (Read 632 times)

this isn't supposed to be a thing lmao

I don't even know where to begin finding a solution for something like this, any ideas?

that's something i haven't seen before
does it happen on defaults only? looks like a game bug more than an addon bug

custom script to detect if you’re underwater and colliding with a brick above you > slight downward velocity added

this is most likely the same thing as the moveforward(0.1); glitch where people just went through walls

it does seem similar to that
just haven't seen it in the context of floating upwards in water
kind of amusing how it's still an issue

made a default bl server and tried it out, still happens.
kinda sucks, was really hoping it was just an add-on issue or dll

did you update your server's blockland.exe?

installed the server via the portable app on the site, i'd assume that downloader it launches is up to date ye?

it's been a bug for years. it works with jetting + crouching too iirc

on a dedicated server tho?

noedit: tried it singleplayer on a clean install and same thing still. wonder why you can't replicate it hmmmmmm

try a different computer?

This has been a thing since v9.

Best you can do is set velocity events to push them back down which doesn't work every time.
