"Thank you for supporting concentration camps." - China

why did vine ever go out of business

"Thank you for supporting concentration camps." - China
I didn't know tencent was also the Chinese government. also the company that owns tiktok has like hundreds of different subsidiaries and child companies and you're just going to basically deprive the staff of these companies service because they're owned by some Chinese brothers? that's kinda petty thinking lol

In China, all companies and businesses must have ccp representatives. These representatives report and approve activity. Any and all businesses in China are owned by china, and investors basically have the privilege to profit off of and use their property.

China does not handle business like free counties do.

So yes tencent, and any other chinese company is basically china.

wouldn't doubt that it probably is fuzz.

still the dumbest reason to basically boycott a perfectly good video sharing platform made by hundreds of non-chinese-government web designers

also if the us government says that you can't sell guns does that mean that every company that doesn't sell guns is basically the united states?

i mean it’s also 100% spyware and generally just a dogstuff company. you remember all that crap about how they filtered out POCs from the main feed? it’s not worth your time using it

They have to do as their parent company dictates. It's a legitimate reason to do so. Especially when the parent company openly pushes Chinese propaganda through TikTok.

This is a completely apples and oranges comparison.
Not being allowed == being US if you do not do what is disallowed in the United States.
Vs
Taking actions because of direct interference by china in your company == working for china.

These two arguments do not connect, at all.

And if the United States ever did that, as a side note. It wouldn't fly. Especially now.

People want to claim they'd stand up and fight a national socialist Germany like scenario if it ever came around today. Well here it is. China is putting people in concentration camps, attempting to expand past their borders and territories, and they're pushing their propaganda in other countries by any means they have.

Where are these people who claim to fight human rights abuses?
