Author Topic: Should you release your private addons??  (Read 3768 times)

What if you have a private addon and the guy who made it disapeared, do you release it or not
yes, release it, if its by anyone other than hata. hes probably the only person who would reappear if you released a mod of his, given what happened to me

Personally, I release my own private add-ons if I haven't done anything with them in a while.

im taking my private addons to the grave

there's no real reason not to release it
though there's no real reason to expect it either
it would pretty much be for novelty, which is still cool

hmmmmm if i had private addons but i dont have any i would release them to them all 👍

i feel incredibly guilty for not at least sharing abandoned projects i thought had potential despite having a resentment toward private add-ons

here's really the only "finished" add-on i made for whatever this was

be warned, the code is horrendously ambitious, i wouldn't try it outside of a singleplayer gamemode

That's cool. I wish client mods were a bigger thing in the early days, so the idea of downloading an add-on to play on someone else's server was more common towards the end

That menu stuff would honestly be helpful

heavily wip and only meant for 1920x1080. i cheesed it the position and extent without regard for resolution scaling. i think $pref::video:resolution is how you pull up the client resolution, and then some ratio work from there if you want to scale it

some old guide or looking at the default guis in mission editor would give you a better understanding on how to do things proper

I'm now going to take this opportunity to tell you that your Abrams you made was underwhelming as my expectations were way too high thinking it'll be on par with the T90 add on.

T90 is dogstuff compared to the abrams
