"Thats that" 1:17

Doubt its on purpose, but its really really close to the default blockland gunshot1.wav

That sound comes from a library of sounds that many kinds of media have used before, it's not specific to Blockland

In fact, in case you've missed it, we actually found the CD containing most of Blockland's sounds and music, not sure if the gunshot sound comes from this particular library however, but i figured it was worth bringing up anyway

It's actually the sound of a Gen 1 Glock 17 loaded with 124gr JHPs fired at a range of 25m

Mfer all the gens sound the same but gen 5, and no way you can meters by sound without being in environment.

i can't find a lot on this sound effect but it's apparently "very rare". it's a 44 magnum. the same sound is used in Doom PlayStation and Doom 64. i swear i've heard it elsewhere but it'd take hours to track down

On-topic off-topic: someone was streaming Treasure Island and the sound of the cannon firing sounds very similar to the quake rocket launcher

Also just realized both were released in 96
