I tried looking this up myself because I figured there had to be something already posted about it, like at least one thread or mention somewhere, but nope, I used the search and got a grand total of zero results, not even one, which honestly just makes it feel even weirder considering how big this whole thing supposedly is.
So from what I’ve been seeing and putting together, the claim is that Minnesota’s government was funneling something like 9 billion dollars into these Somali daycare centers that people are saying were basically fraudulent, not just a couple bad cases here and there but something way bigger, like spread across the whole state and maybe even beyond it, which if true would be insane.
Then on top of that you’ve got people saying Tim Walz was tied into it somehow, like allegedly getting kickbacks or benefiting from it in some way, which again I haven’t seen clearly proven anywhere but it keeps coming up so people are obviously talking about it.
And the part that really doesn’t add up to me is how people keep pointing out that basically every other blue state has cooperated with ICE in some form or another, but Minnesota is being singled out as the one that didn’t, and the explanation people are giving is that it could expose stuff like this and potentially implicate people in charge.
When you look at the whole thing together, the zero search results, the size of the money being talked about, the political angle, and the weird inconsistency between states, it just ends up feeling like a messy situation where it’s hard to tell what’s actually real and what’s just rumors getting repeated over and over.
