Brick Lag

Author Topic: Brick Lag  (Read 1120 times)

Other people with older PCs don't seem to have this problem. I can zoom into one brick in the middle of a ton of bricks and not lag, or look away and not lag, but when they are all on my screen I lag like crazy.

Windows Vista (32bit)
Intel Core 2 Duo CPU    T5250 @ 1.50GHz (2 CPUs), `1.5ghz *Two cpus = 3.0 ghz
2046 RAM
NVidia GeForce 8400M GS
Integrated RAMDAC
Approx Mem.: 880 MB

This operating system has inferior game performance by design.

Megahertz do not work that way! </morbo>

NVidia GeForce 8400M GS
This is an inferior video card by design.  Roughly equivalent to an ATI 9800 pro (old).

Approx Mem.: 880 MB
This does not meet the minimum system requirements for any version of vista above home basic.

the 880 is my video card i believe, not the RAM if thats what your thinking.

Wrong, my 7400 geforce GO gets great frame rates in half life 2 and blockland (Much higher then my old ATI 9500 pci graphics card)

Hes talking about the total shared graphics memory, he said 2046 ram.

The problem is your processor, Vista power plan settings (the biggest problem, make sure the settings are set to power management off), another thing you could do is run the game in full screen / turn down resolution slighty.
