i want to put my sword on fire...
how can i do that?
i'm using milkshape.
EDIT: i have added a screenie of my blade

i want the blade (Red part) on fire.

You'd have to do that through the script as an emitter :D

Oh you moron, read the first post carefully. He has a red sword ffs, he wants fire.

You'll need to place a joint on your model and include it specifically in the weapon code.
