This is from me trying to connect on my router.

My AT&T internet card will let me connect but my router will not.??
(AT&T card lags to much or else i would use it)

Hey ok so i test blockland on my uncles router and internet connection and it worked! so the reason its not working is because of some sort of configuration problem between my computer and my router at home.if you may know whats wrong and how to fix it please tell me =D

*sorry for the triple post

Describe your home network configuration.  What things do you have and what's plugged into what?

Describe your home network configuration.  What things do you have and what's plugged into what?
well im not sure what you mean but ill try...
my internet provider is HughesNet(i have the pro plus package)
I have a Netgear rangmax duo wireless N router WNDR3300
i have a Dell XPS M1330 with vista.

The satilite runs to the hughesnet box(receiver i guess) and from the box(receiver) it goes to the router and then i connect to the internet from my laptop to the netgear router

if i left something out that you need to know or this is not what you was talkin abut just tell me and give me an (example)

hey hey. Same thing with me. If i wait to long picking a server, when I try  to go in it says. Authenticaton Failed. At the begening when I bought this it didn't do it, but now its doing the same thing.

Ok now we're getting somewhere.  So you have satellite internet service.  Satellite download speeds can be fast, but the round trip connection time can be 2 or more seconds (since it has to go up to a satellite and then back down).  That's good for downloads but no good for games because in a game you want a fast response time.

So what a lot of satellite providers will do is give you a dial up connection as well and route TCP traffic (web stuff) via the satellite and UDP traffic (game stuff) via the dial up connection.  This gives you two different IP addresses.  The problem is that when you authenticate with the master server it goes via TCP (satellite) and when you connect to a server it goes via UDP (dial up) so there's a mismatch in IP addresses and the server rejects you.

At least, that's my theory and a plausible explanation as to why you'd get authentication failures.  Is anything connected to a phone line?

wow that sucks man...but my uncle has satellite(different provider)but he has satellite and i can play the game online at his house?and i can play online with my at&t wireless card.
But i dont have a phoneline(we got rid of it when we got satellite) =(
Is there anything else i can do?

someone please replay and help me get online if its possible because blockland isnt any fun without internet capability and i paid $40 for  blockland and i really want to play online!

i have the same problem as him except i have dsl / adsl my dad has
4 - 5 server blocks in his cellar and runs scientio .com

-note this also links onto my incapability of online server

because the pc's on the outside can only see the server's
ip adress and not my own would that also be part of the problem
- that servers could not see my own ip and kick me

-also, i have spent atleast an hour with my dad configuring his servers
for your so called port forwading

where's the hell the modify button gone?

Modify was removed in some sections, because Badspot didn't like all the permissions things that he kept getting when people modified.

so guys, the only way to get on my "dead" server is to press the ip button,
then enter.. 82.153.202.213  and ... i wont tell you my password, except to friends and people i trust!

I'm just basically waiting for v 9 to come out then stabbing myself when nothing works "just for me"!!!
