Author Topic: Blockland ID Discrimination  (Read 9259 times)

I think all Id's should be completely random, and everyone who already has Blockland should be given a new one.

no....just no, waist of work, not to mention it would break allot of things.

I don't get it....

Its 12 at night, I'm tired, I spent half my day watching a play, and I'm a bad speller as it is....

Edit: Oh, also, I'm typing it from my wii.

There are a couple of servers out there that don't kick for things like that, I'm not quite sure which servers they are since I never really get kicked myself unless the admin is 5 years old.

I never really kick people unless they constantly annoy other people or me, or do really stupid stuff and continue to do it after I ask them to stop.

I'm not sure if I will be hosting anytime soon, but my servers always have my name in it.

Very few server actually ban or kick high IDs on sight that I know of, I bet it actually happens more to people with low IDs.  The thing is, don't act like you've owned this game for three years.  It is annoying when a high ID joins my server, and I ask, "hey, when did you buy blockland" because I'm just wondering how new they are, and just to get an idea of the current high ID, and they respond "ive ownd ths game for 3 year".  Just don't act like a n00b, and don't be affraid to ask questions about the game.

ok thanks for the tip

If someone joins a server I am in and doesn't know how to play the game or talk or whatever, I try to help. If they yell at me or get angry for no reason, I ban them (If it's my server) or ignore them.

"ive ownd ths game for 3 year"

Just point out that they couldn't have bought it 3 years ago because it wasn't for sale 3 years ago.

That was commented among every laughing at him.  If memory serves me right, they quickly left after that...

Just wait for intelligent people to join in the 5-6k gap.
If we don't get intelligent people and just get more noobs, just start getting ban happy to the noobs if they break rules or try to be a noob on the server.

ID discrimination is nothing new.  Most servers don't do it.  A few ruin the game.  I avoid banning newbs until they piss me off.  But then Doorman will usually ban before I'm mad anyway.

Some people can't tell the difference between a noob and a newb.
The only discrimination I have towards other players is ones with names like Master Chief or C. If you want to flame me for a stupid name my ingame name is Shaginji, stripping you of that privilage.

hehehe ninja is just as common as master cheif.
