Author Topic: Port fowarding on a mac  (Read 2167 times)

Does anyone know a good mac port fowarding tutorial for the mac. I have looked a lot on Google, but nothing came up.

It is exactly the same as on pc.

Are you sure, cause it doesn't work for me

If you can access your router configuration and you are trying to port forward and it doesnt work, you did it wrong.

How do I access my router configuration?

Type this into your web browser : http://(Deafault gateway ip goes here)
The deafault gateway Ip should be something like 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.2.1

Neither of those gateways work. Is there a way to find out your default gateway ip?

I have no idea how to do it on mac. If you have a pc in your house go to start-> run->cmd->ipconfig

I do have a pc, but it is pandad up

Im guessing this but it might be how you find the ip address, (i have a mac too)

go to system preferences> network> tc/ip. i think thats were the ip address is.

This might not be right

Here is how to do it.

1.Turn off the mac
2.Get rid of the mac
3. Buy a PC
4.Then portforward using a port forwarding tutorial

Tri

that always works.

sorry for double posting, but I found tc/ip, but it doesn't show my ip address.

You need your Ip address and the default gateway.
