Hello, it's been a few days I've purchased Blockland and I'm really enjoying it.
The only thing that could make my gaming experience better would be the ability to host my own games, which, sadly, I am not able to.
I've followed the forwarding guide I've found on these boards, yet the only change in situation I've obtained is that my port test, instead of returning to me that ports 28000 to 28030 are closed, says that they time out when it tries to connect, which changes nothing - no one is able to join my game. I'm using a Netgear DG834G v2, if that's any help.

I've got the Netgear DG834 myself, if you're comfortable with someone else configuring it you can enable remote access and PM me the admin password and I can remotely configure it for you.

Otherwise, what guide did you use to configure your port forwarding? The default blockland guide or the one for the Absolute Dummy?

Since I've already portforwarded a few times I've used the default one; when earning no result, I went on portforward.com and followed the instructions up there, again with no result.

I am starting to think that the problem lies within the user and not within the hardware itself, but I still don't feel like leaving my router configuration in the hands of other people. :p Let's see if we can solve this problem without remote access. If everything else fails, I'll give you a call.

Sir, it's almost 2 years that I've been using a static IP to allow some of my applications to port-forward. I'm not an expert at these things, but not a total newbie either.

That sort of thing is easier to do via the router settings.

Nope, but I clearly did state that I followed the guides I found on the boards, which include of course Badspot's static IP guide. Check my first post if you don't believe me.

Anyway, problem solved, I see no reason for us to keep arguing on the subject.
