Author Topic: This garbage router hates port forwarding.  (Read 752 times)

I guess its ok. I can't figure out how to port forward on it, though.

One of the main problems is that its a "Netgear WGT624 v4," and the closest thing to it on portforward.com is the same model but v3, which is almost entirely different. It does not use the 192.168.1._ but 10.0.0._. It is connected to the modem which I previously had its ports forwarded for blockland on, but this router is being difficult and I cannot host.

I am also confused about the static ip thing, but I had no problems with it on the modem, so I am guessing that the one I use is static.

Its wierd, because my ip is 10.0.0._ instead of what it used to be prior to the new router.

When I try to make a custom service to forward the ports, it asks for the server ip.

I didn't have to worry about this the last time I forwarded my ports on the westell.

Mind you I am now using a Netgear wgt264 v4.

Its default lan address was 192.168.1.1, but it does nothing. It brings me to the router's page however, when I enter 10.0.0.X.

Also windows shows that my ip is 10.0.0.X

While every website I visit says my ip is XX.XXX.XXX.XXX.

Also, help would be nice D:

Does anyone have a Netgear and can help?

Can you set up a static ip without shutting down your connection?
