Author Topic: How to extract Add-ons on the MAC (Read 2007 times)

For all MAC users...

This is for any operating system...

1) Google this:
ZIPEG
And download it.
It is a program that allows for the extraction of all file types including .rar and others...
(hopefully you know that it is impossible for a MAC to use .exe because that is for Windows only)
I use this program and it is awesome (and free)

2) After you have downloaded an add-on, map, etc... open the file using ZIPEG.
Your window will look something like the picture shown.

3) Notice how there is a folder that says Add-ons and it has a 2 to the right of it.
The 2 means that there are 2 items in that folder. The Add-ons name means that those 2 items must go into your add-ons folder of the Blockland application (just open the folder and drag/drop the items into your add-ons folder).

4) If there is a folder inside a folder then the items inside that folder must go into the corresponding folder in your add-ons folder. For example: you see that it shows a folder with the name "shapes" and a file with the extension .cs, in the ZIPEG window of the file you have just downloaded. You must put the .cs into your main add-ons folder and then put the files in the "shapes" folder into the "shapes" folder that is in your add-ons folder.

NOTICE: You can not drag and drop folders... Only specific files.

2. Specify which Mac OS this is for.
3. I think the average human can figure out how to install Add-Ons on a Macintosh. If you're too stupid to figure out, you shouldn't be on the internet.

Gen. Nick is correct. I have Leopard, and what I use that is compatible for Leopard and Tiger is called Stuffit Expander. it is free, and is, in my opinion the best in the net. And if you didn't know, if you are on a Mac, you have to manually extract your Add-Ons, and some mods won't work.

Judging by the number of tech support emails I get on this very subject, you think wrong.

Actually, nowadays, the number of people that are lower than average at computers is rising.

Hey, Cut The Guy Some Slack. I'm A Mac-User And I Didn't Know How To Install Add-ons At First. (Partly Because I've NEVER Modded Any Other Games I Have Played Before.)
