well thats my issue :(

I've noticed this too. Even Dread's server, which I've been on hundreds of times, is getting slower when it comes to loading.

Already a topic about this.

Yes, it is annoying having to download hundreds of add-ons you already have, just because someone wants to rename them, or put them in the wrong place, made a custom folder for them to show off their smart-ass brains, etc.

it is said this is supposed to be fixed in V9, if you guys are talking about what i think you're talking about. if it doesn't have to do with that, then i don't know why it's loading slower.

If any of my downloaded Add-Ons are messed up, it's because that's how they were. I extract each and every one of them directly from the .zip/.rar.

I just hate those stupid handicaps who keep leaving and joining my server and whine to me about "OMG OBJECTS NO LOAD" because their Blockland is forgeted up enough.

No, Objects just mess up some times, it depends on server. On Rkys it takes like 1 minute to finish loading.

I also find that a few servers i join now i get errors when downloading different things. Pain in the ass it's become!

This is why I have to always retype my welcome message to "Welcome! Please do NOT WHINE ABOUT THE DAMN LOAD, HOW LONG IT TAKES OR ASK HOW MANY ADD-ONS I HAVE. Have fun!"

If you'd all just STFU and wait for loving 5 minutes then you'll be in the game playing. Read a book or get a drink of water instead of bashing your damn head at the keyboard because you can't play your precious game any sooner.

Or...you could, you know...fix the problem.

So, people who complain about stops must not download/install/load anything at all. In MOST downloads/installs/loads there is a boost of speed, a slow down, a stop, and a slow start again, maybe in reverse or some steps taken out, or repeated.

Loads seem to be getting much longer, as people have add-ons/add-ons/Sniff's_BarretM38/shapes/ and directories as such.
I have add-ons/add-ons/add-ons

I still have the reatarded one that went around as an April Fools joke, I dont host though.

+ The computer BL is on is in for repair since the screen broke (Laptop)

I hope you turn off all that music when your not hosting a party.

I have add-ons/add-ons/add-ons
That is why I delete those every day I go onto a server before starting my own. It is like a virus. If you do not get rid of it for you self then it will spread to others. All you do is keep it there and a whole bunch of people get it.

People only download what you have turned on in the add-ons checklist.
This is because the file isn't actually exec'd till you start the server, which creates the datablocks with the filepaths stored in them. When a player joins, while he loads all the datablocks onto his client, it checks for these filepaths and checks if the client already has the file in the filepath. If the client doesn't have the file, then it requests it from the server, the server of course, says "Sure take it."

In conclusion, players only download things specified in datablock files.

In theory, deleting certain brick shapes will disable them till you join another server and automatically get it back.

yes and most of the add-ons/add-ons type things are things I already have but in a different place (the correct one) and I delete it to make sure no one else gets it because I have the script. Also another reason for the long loads is the rise in crap ons. The people who make it seem to think it is a good idea to zip the file in a folder named after their add-on and thus when less competent players download it they forget to go into the folder to get to the add-ons folder.
