Because the person with ID 1337 would run around saying 'lol im 1337 lololololll,' the person with ID 666 would say 'lol i am satin and i eat cheeze whiz watch be as I burn rome and christians lollllo,' and IDs 1-100 are saved for some other reason.

For some reason I remember Badspot having ID 1 and Kompressor having ID -1, 0, or some other strange number, but I could be remembering falsely. It might be from the beta. Does Badspot use 1 or 100?

I think that ids 2-99 are just taken so that they start at 100, instead of 2.  If you think about it, it makes since to do it like that.
