I'm sitting on the fence with this one.

Last time I used a Mac it read my .doc files as .mov files.

What a handicapped piece of crap. The only reason I'm still staying on Windows anyway is because every game I own runs on Windows XP, obviously.

This is as good a post as any to make my point.

Stop using a single event or feature as the evidence that one product is good or bad.

It's like the faulty reasoning that states that "A Mac can run imovie therefore it is better at media editing than Windows" or "My windows computer crashed because my drivers are outdated or I have  virus or ...(list goes on) so it's all windows fault and that makes it a bad operating system".

both OS's are just as good and both offer the same software that work just as well on either one.
you can do basically anything just as well on both...
however, i play games. so if i can do all that AND game? then it is a more money efficient choice to use a pc.

i find it very hard to dish out money for a computer that can only do half the things i need.
AND NO! WINDOWS ON THE NEWER MACS IS NOT THE SAME! it runs flawed, even the mac commercials that bash pcs claim that their windows don't work well on themselves.

edit: Never mind, after rereading it, I changed my stance on the point.

I hate, no LOATHE Macintosh computers for two reasons.

1. They create a double standard. I code and do websites. I hate double standard. There's a difference between Internet Explorer and the rest of the browsers, this causes me to have to backtrack 50 freaking times and edit my style sheets for the IE tarts. If Macintoshes become popular, programs will need to be done this way, too, if they are too succeed.
2. Their commercials.

Hi, I'm a business Jew with a stick up my ass and low sense of self esteem.
Hi, I'm an awesome cool doooood who goes to 4chan. Hey, PC, why do you suck?
Because I'm a Jew.

But using 1 small, insignifigent issue that is probably the user's fault is Gen. Nick's specialty!

1. You can't complain here.  If you really hate having to make sure that things work with all systems, simply develop for/with cross-os platforms, such as firefox, or Torque Game Engine.

2. Why are people going so emo about the commercials?  If I said I dislike sub-way because their commercials say that McDonalds is bad for you, you'd all be laughing at me.  How is this any different?

I'd like to note: The mac commercials have won awards for being well done.

Mostly because their commercials are completely biased, saying that Windows is for office type dorks or whatever, when in actuallity most of the actual fun stuff-- i.e gaming-- happens on PCs. Mac's argument is that PC is for office work and cannot look at pictures or movies and such, only create spreadsheets and get viruses. The problem, of course, being that Windows can do almost everything a Mac can, and more.

Owning a Mac(as their commercials display) is just like saying "haha! I'm better than you, dipstuff! Now watch as I look over vacation photos from 5 years ago! Feeling jealous, aren't you!"

I have nothing against Macs other than the lack of factual Mac VS PC arguments in up.their commercials, and the inability of their users to shut up.

Again, look at my brown townagy, and tell me how it is different.

Also, you can't judge a product by a few loud people who use it.  It's like those n00bs who give blodkland a score of 0/10 because they joined a server and got themselves banned within five minnuets.

You seem to dislike the product for reasons that don't matter.

Besides that, I am running Vista. I have no problems with it. I cant help but rage every time I see the handicapped commercials with the fat guy in therapy sessions, "Oh, it's not MY fault my OS doesn't work." - Yes it is, because the user of that Windows PC moved all the .DLL and .EXE files in windows32 into separate folders to make them 'LOOK NEATER' and thus forgeted up the entire system. Is that Bill Gates fault the majority of people these days cant figure out how to, not only do simple stuff on the computer, but are unable to not screw the system up?

the more computers are capable of doing, the more people can forget them up.
unfortunate that peoples standard computer knowledge isn't keeping up with modern software and OS these days :\

few things the average computer user SHOULD know how to do but apparently cant:
-open any file they dl, by understanding the concept of finding or using the correct programs.
-what a driver is, and how to install or update one.
-how to "springclean" your comp, by using the real uninstallers, defragging, temp file cleaning
-how to use any firewall and/or anti virus/spyware
-at least the following hotkeys: copy, paste, undo (imo lol)
-grasp the concept of the drive/file tree system

The subway commercials (using your example now) are not like the Mac adverts. The subway ads give you the message that their subs are healthier to eat than McDonalds food and that is a proven fact. It is also a widely accepted, uncontroversial fact.

Mac adverts on the other hand, use lies and misinformation to promote their product.

There is a big difference between fair endorsement of a product and out right lying.

If we ignore it, it will crawl back into it's cave.

the mac and pc are the same f****** thing!!!

and bloxland sucks ****!

proove it :D

i hate bloxland too :o
